Ryan McGuire earned his master’s degree in 2004 and clinical doctorate in physical therapy in 2008 from the University of Kentucky. He is an assistant professor in the University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences Department of Physical Therapy and continues to practice in the sports rehabilitation clinic where he has treated high school, collegiate, professional and Olympic athletes throughout his career. He was also part of the group that developed and established the first physical therapy residency program at UK and currently serves as both co-director and mentor of that program. He has been a board certified sports clinical specialist since 2018, a board certified orthopaedic clinical specialist since 2010, and a certified strength and conditioning specialist since 2006, and is certified in dry needling. McGuire has given presentations locally and nationally on sports rehabilitation and manual therapy topics.
