I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been a mental health therapist for children and adults for over ten years. I began my work in my home state of New York and have practiced here in Kentucky since 2017. I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, developmental delays and Autism Spectrum Disorder, and family relations. My preferred therapy modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solutions Focused Therapy. I have worked in outpatient clinics, addiction, school-based, home-based, and inpatient hospitalization. I would love to help your loved one find a better way to view, experience, and interact with the world!
I pursued a career in social work my freshman year of college after visiting my aunt who is a social worker in Connecticut. I was inspired by the multitude of ways I could help and support people and communities by becoming a social worker. I believe in adjusting my interventions to the individual and unique needs of my client. Above all, I promote empathy and validation in my interactions with my clients. I have a warm and welcoming nature which can be felt the moment you come in to my office. I am here to offer support, recommendations, and guidance, but you inherently are the expert and architect of your future. When I'm not working, I can be found working out at my gym and other studios throughout town, enjoying a craft beer, belly dancing, traveling, and spending time with my husband and hound dog. I think you can't find enjoyment in the work you do if you can't find enjoyment in life!
