About
Heath Crist began his education at Asbury University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2013. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Southwest Baptist University in 2016. Directly following, he completed The Johns Hopkins Hospital Orthopaedic Residency, which included extensive mentoring for complex orthopaedic patients, teaching responsibilities and research involvement. In 2020, Crist completed the Regis University Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy, training under some of the top physical therapists in the country. This is considered the highest level of training internationally for manual physical therapists. This experience led to Crist co-creating and serving as the inaugural director of the UK HealthCare Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program. He is a former high school track and field coach and specialized in training hurdlers and sprinters. He enjoys blending rehab with physical performance and has work with athletes from recreational to elite. His clinical interests include running injuries, and management of the spine.
