Last year, it was estimated that about 53,000 cases of pancreatic cancer would be diagnosed. Unfortunately, 43,000 people will also die from this cancer each year. Although these numbers are staggering, doctors and researchers are diligently working to better treat this disease and to hopefully find a cure.
