Troy E. Gibbons, MD

Troy Gibbons, MD, is head of the Pediatric Gastroenterology division at UK HealthCare and medical director of the pediatric endoscopy suite. Dr. Gibbons has over 20 years of clinical experience in pediatric gastroenterology. He directs the training of medical students and residents in pediatric gastroenterology at Kentucky Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Gibbons’ area of special interest has always been food allergies and how they affect the intestinal tract. He leads a clinical team made up of a nurse practitioner, dietitian and social worker with support from Child Psychology. The team manages allergic disorders of the gastrointestinal tract such as eosinophilic esophagitis.
