Candace Pelfrey joins our team of providers at the UK Healthcare Aesthetics Center. Candace began her career as an Aesthetician in Nashville in 2007 and is currently licensed to practice aesthetics in both Kentucky and Tennessee. In addition, she completed the medical aesthetics track at the National Laser Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona to further her education in laser therapy and safety. She has since gained years of knowledge and hands-on experience working alongside talented plastic surgeons, dermatologists and other skincare professionals.

As the first in-house Aesthetician employed by UK Healthcare, Candace utilizes the skills she has encompassed for more than a decade. Creating custom protocols for her clients, her skillset helps address various skin concerns including acne, aging, redness, scarring and pigment disorders. She has a passion for helping clients meet their skincare needs by offering a variety of services from relaxing facials to more advanced, results-driven services such as laser rejuvenation and microneedling.

“I view the treatment room as a sensory experience as it is more than just applying products. It is an understanding of how to optimize my client’s skin health. By incorporating techniques from aromatherapy to facial massage, I want to provide a space for clients to escape their daily grind and find the importance of self-care. I see quality skincare as a form of healthcare.”

Outside of skincare, you may find Candace on various walking trails around Lexington. She also enjoys shopping and quality time with her two children. While her daughter is entering her senior year in Biomedical Engineering, her son is in his sophomore year. Both are proud to be UK Wildcats!
