Dr. Thomas King is a native of the state of New York and grew up in Northern Kentucky. He is happily married and the father of two wonderful young men. He is active in his local and church community.
Dr. King has been in the Lexington area since 2006. He went to Thomas More University and received a bachelor's degree in biology. He graduated from the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 2003. Dr. King completed his residency training at Yale New Haven Hospital in 2006. He has received extensive training in foot and ankle surgery. His training was supervised by both podiatric and orthopedic surgeons with emphasis on proper procedure selection and techniques for most any foot and ankle problem.
Dr. King was in private practice until joining the University of Kentucky Department of Orthopedics in 2023. He is also staff physician at the UK Good Samaritan Wound Care Center, focusing on lower extremity wounds and limb salvage.
Dr. King is board certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is also a member of the American and Kentucky Podiatric Medical Associations (president 2021-2023) and is in good standing with the Kentucky Board of Podiatry.
