Beth A. Miller, MD

Beth A. Miller received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wright State University, her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio and completed an internship and residency at Kettering Medical Center. She went on to complete a fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at the University of Kentucky.

Dr. Miller is active both clinically and academically, having published articles in the American Journal of Medical Genetics and Thymus and Immunological Investigations. Her current clinical research trials focus on the treatment for severe Asthma by utilizing monoclonal antibody therapy against cytokines that promote asthma.

Dr. Miller is board certified in Allergy and Immunology and Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAAI), the Southeastern Society of Allergy, the Kentucky Society of Allergy/Immunology, and the Blue Grass Society of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. She has served as a Past-President of the Blue Grass Society of Allergy/Immunology and as an executive committee member of the Kentucky Allergy Society.

Dr. Miller's philanthropic interests include the American Lung Association and UK Women & Philanthropy. She has held a seat on the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Office of the American Lung Association and is a current committee co-chair of UK Women and Philanthropy. In the fall of 2012 she was recognized as the Lung Health Champion for the American Lung Association in Kentucky.

She sent me to the ER at Good Samaritan but I could not stay so had to leave before being seen. When I told her, she got me an appointment with UK ENT the same week.

Despite accidentally being sent the wrong reason for referral by the IM resident (I had read the referral when it was made), Dr. Miller easily rolled with it and quickly got on the same page with me. She was thorough and informative. I didn't feel time pressured or talked down to. I appreciated her attentiveness and positive attitude. She went out of her way to provide a friendly and welcoming environment. There was an in depth risk vs benefit discussion, as well as info about testing/treatment options. I have no concerns recommending Dr. Miller and this practice, in fact I'm happy to do so.

  Love Dr. Miller. She is an expert in her field. She was able to accurately diagnose my sinus infection that has not gone away for 6 months that family practice kept ignoring. Thankful for Dr. Miller getting to the bottom of a relatively simple illness which family practice should have been more in tune with. Be cause of the delay in correct diagnosis and treatment, I now have to be on a strong antibiotic and steroids. If family practice had given me an antibiotic then 2nd time I went in instead of insisting my infection was viral, this could have been treated quickly with a less strong antibiotic.
