Suicide prevention resources

Suicide is a serious public health issue across our nation and in our hometowns. In Kentucky, it is the second leading cause of death for youth ages 10-34. As part of the UK HealthCare’s Healthy Kentucky Initiative, we offer resources on suicide prevention and information to help you support loved ones who may be struggling.

If you, your child, or someone you know are thinking about suicide or self-harm, call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.

UK HealthCare is now offering free suicide prevention training to our Commonwealth of Kentucky community members. In less than an hour, you can learn how to respond to and help a loved one in crisis. Take the online QPR training today.
