Dr. Chadha supports others in improving the health and well-being of patients through excellence in patient care, teaching and research. He also provides medical leadership for all clinical information systems and innovative technology, and champions medical informatics for the advancement of the clinical quality.

As a key executive in the developing and achieving UK HealthCare's information system strategic plan, Dr. Chadha leads or participates in committees representing the needs and requirements of the physician community and serves as an advocate for the use of information technology in the clinical setting.

Dr. Chadha has worked at UK HealthCare as a hospital medicine attending for about 12 years. He has been a core member of the medical informatics group for a decade and is serving as CMIO. In addition, he served as division chief of hospital medicine from 2019 to 2023.

Dr. Chadha holds certifications as an Epic Physician Builder and Epic Physician Builder analyst; he also holds an Epic Cosmos Super User badge.

Dr. Chadha graduated from the University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi. He earned his master’s in public health from UT Houston, completed his internal medicine residency at Westlake Hospital in Chicago and holds a master’s in business administration from Gatton School of Business and Economics at UK.

A: My clinical service philosophy is patient-centered care. I believe in fostering open and honest communication with my patients and using evidence-based medicine to guide my decision-making.

A: I avoid medical jargon and use analogies and simple explanations to help my patients understand the information I share. This approach ensures clear communication and helps patients feel more comfortable and informed.

A: Patients should be active participants in the decision-making process. I involve them every step of the way, ensuring they understand their options and feel empowered to make informed choices about their health.

A: Good communication fosters trust and understanding between myself and my patients. When patients understand their health information and feel heard, it leads to better health outcomes and a stronger patient-provider relationship.
