Personal Statement

Educated patients make the best decisions for their care, and my goal is always to educate in order to empower. Many disorders involve choosing between multiple treatment options, and I want patients to understand as best as possible the advantages and disadvantages of each. I understand it can be confusing and uncomfortable to face a complex health problem, and daunting to place trust in someone else—especially when the condition threatens hearing, facial movements, and other functions which are critical to communication and help us connect with others. I aim to use my clinical knowledge and expertise to help patients through these challenging conditions.

Dr. Cass was so calm and he spoke so confidently but not arrogantly about my ear. He also knew about the instrument that I play and that made me feel like he understood how valuable my hearing is for me. I am also inquisitive so he answered all my questions in a way that didn't make me feel stupid or annoying for asking.

Was very dismissive of my concern for my sons ear pain that has been occurring for over a year. Basically said since he has tubes it's impossible for him to have pain.

I feel like my time was wasted. Dr. Cass was nice enough but didn't give reason as to why I have so much fluid draining daily from my ears. I'm going to get a second opinion.

I felt like this appointment was very rushed and I didn't feel at all confident in what the provider said. I also didn't feel like the couple of minutes he was in the room with me was worth the $60 copay after I have been seen multiple times already for the same problems
