About
Aimee Williamson, APRN, CPNP-PC, is an advanced practice provider in pediatric neurosurgery at the Kentucky Neuroscience Institute. She treats patients with plagiocephaly, macrocephaly, hydrocephalus, spina bifida and other neurologic conditions.
Williamson received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis, followed by her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
She began her career as a pediatric hematology/oncology nurse at a children's hospital in St. Louis. Williamson later transitioned into pediatric palliative care at that hospital. In this role, she helped oncology patients as well as critically ill children and their families navigate difficult diagnoses.
Personal Statement
I absolutely love the children and families I care for, and I feel so blessed to be a part of their journey. My wide variety of practice experience – from oncology to palliative care to neurosurgery – allows me to be more compassionate as I strive to provide the highest level of care possible.
