Diabetes Prevention Program Informational Sessions

UK Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center and UK Cooperative Extension are now offering a virtual Diabetes Prevention Program. Participants can attend weekly live sessions with trained lifestyle coaches from the comfort of home using the Zoom videoconferencing platform.

Offered through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) helps prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes by helping patients learn how to make and maintain healthy lifestyle changes. Our lifestyle coaches help patients gain the skills to change their eating habits, lose weight and maintain a healthy level of physical activity.
