Parking and car tips

Use caution in open air lots; icy conditions may exist. Remember, there is NO PARKING allowed at the loading dock area behind Chandler Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital other than authorized vehicles. Security officers will ticket and have those illegally parked vehicles towed.

Shuttle service

All campus routes - as well as off-campus Lextran routes - are viewable real-time on TransLoc Rider, UK’s GPS-based bus locating system. TransLoc Rider can be accessed at uky.transloc.com and via the free TransLoc Rider Android and iPhone apps. Additionally, you may send a text message to 41411 with UKY and the appropriate stop number to receive a message back listing the next three arrival times for that stop. Free jump start service

This service is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week to UK parking permit holders, campus patients and visitors. If your car battery dies on campus and you need a jump start, call 859-257-5757 Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. After hours, call the university’s police department non-emergency at 859-257-8573 or towing contractor, Call Roberts Heavy Duty Towing & Recovery at 859-231-0197. Requesting individuals are responsible for any advanced service required that results from a vehicle’s inability to start following typical jump start procedures or for situations in which batteries fail to hold an adequate charge.
