About

Lesley Wong specializes in general reconstructive plastic surgery, including breast reconstruction and post-traumatic injuries, microsurgery, burn surgery, and wound management. She also has an interest in cosmetic breast and body-contouring procedures.

After receiving her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College, Dr. Wong completed a residency in general surgery at New York University Medical Center and one in plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins University. She also completed fellowships in research and burn/critical care at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Prior to coming to the University of Kentucky, Dr. Wong was director of the Burn Unit and Wound Healing Center at Erlanger Health Systems and was on the faculty of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga.

Dr. Wong currently is the Program Director of the University of Kentucky Integrated Residency in Plastic Surgery and Professor of Plastic Surgery. Her current research includes outcomes of breast reconstruction and tissue perfusion.
