Dr. Prakash K. Pandalai is a surgical oncologist at UK HealthCare who received his medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. Before becoming a surgical oncologist, he was a general surgeon in both the hospital environment and in the armed forces.

Additionally, Dr. Pandalai has worked with the National Cancer Institute, where he conducted research as the principal, associate and lead investigator. His professional interests include topics pertaining to surgical oncology, such as outcomes and eliminating disparities, as well as the decision and cost analysis associated with surgical oncology and the economics of a multidisciplinary surgical oncology practice.

Dr. Pandalai has been published 31 times. His work has appeared in books, presentations and scientific journals, including the Journal of the American College of Surgeons.
