UK Dentistry provides expert comprehensive general and specialized dental treatment for adult and pediatric patients, including care for compromised patients.

Depending on a patient's needs, treatment is available from expert UK College of Dentistry faculty dentists, dentists working in a resident clinic to complete advanced education, or a dental student.

    There are several factors you may wish to consider when selecting a UK Dentistry clinic, including your needs, location preferences, allowable time and cost.

    Review your options below to help you make a decision. It helps explain the differences in care by our various providers. Please note that not all services are available at all locations or by student providers.

    Student Clinics

    Care provided by: Dental students working toward their DMD degree, under expert faculty supervision.

    Time needed: Appointments require more time and multiple appointments may be required to finish care. Initial screening appointments and treatment appointments may require a wait.

    Fees: Generally 30 to 50 percent less than in a private office setting.

    Resident Clinics

    Care provided by: Dentists under advanced training, supervised by expert faculty.

    Time needed: Varies by procedure. Generally slightly longer than in private office setting but less than the student clinic.

    Fees: Less than a private office setting, but more than the student clinic.

    Faculty Clinics

    Care provided by: Expert UK College of Dentistry faculty dentists.

    Time needed: Same as in a private office setting.

    Fees: Comparable to a private office setting.

    A variety of research, whether clinical, performed in laboratories, or in support of public service is constantly taking place at the UK Center for Oral Health Research (COHR).  See details on current efforts

    UK Oral Health patients interested in supporting research can agree to be contacted for studies they may qualify for during patient registration. Patients are also encouraged to register at no cost at  ResearchMatch and indicate their willingness to support research.
