The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted our routines and forced us to distance from others. This can lead to social isolation. If you are feeling disconnected from friends, or experiencing new or increased feelings of depression or anxiety, it might help to talk to someone.

UK TeleCare allows our counselors to connect virtually with you. We offer:

  • Individual counseling to address your specific concerns or challenges.
  • Group counseling to help you connect with others who may be experiencing similar feelings.

Here’s what you can expect from us:

  • You are not required to have a parent/guardian present, but we strongly encourage you to include them in this process. The provider will start the visit speaking with you and your parent/guardian, and then request that your parent/guardian step out so that they can speak with you alone. This part of the visit is confidential – our provider will not share what you talk about here.
  • After this, the provider will ask your parent/guardian to return and discuss next steps and recommendations. Virtual visits can last up to one hour. If counseling sessions are recommended, those are scheduled to last for one hour.
