Mische was the nurse practitioner who saw me first. She was very thorough in explaining my disease and the possible treatments. Dr Burke saw me after. She seemed unhurried and compassionate. She was able to answer all of our questions completely. She even consulted with the oncologist for answers that she was unsure of.

I also loved how *Dr. Burke took the time to help prop open the door for me to be rolled in by the nurse. Calling me "friend" to let me know she was there right next to me before knocking myself out with anesthesia. Just shows how passionate she is for the care of her patients.

When she was taking out the drain tubes she didn't warn me that it was going to hurt so much. I thought the tubes were shorter than what they were.

I appreciate having a paper delineating how the breast cancer is "staged."

The only confusion was that it hadn't been clear that the appt was a surgical consult rather than the actual biopsy.
