If your neck mass is cancerous, your doctor will discuss treatment options for you. Your treatments may include:
Surgery: We use surgery to remove neck masses and cancers in other areas.
Combined radiation therapy and chemotherapy: Some neck masses or lumps are a sign of metastatic cancer, or cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. For these cancers, we often combine radiation therapy and chemotherapy with surgery. Chemotherapy drugs weaken cancer cells, which can make radiation therapy more effective. Using these two therapies together may offer better outcomes.
