Dr. J. Aaron Rodocker practices the full spectrum of child psychiatry within UK General Pediatrics.
Rodocker completed residency training at UK in pediatrics, psychiatry and child & adolescent psychiatry after completing medical school in Virginia. He is proud to be a part of UK HealthCare as a clinical faculty member, serving both adult populations at Eastern State Hospital and pediatric populations of UK General Pediatrics.
Together with his team, Rodocker works with patients, their families, their schools and their primary-care providers to effect positive change in in his patients’ lives. His goal is to ensure that no child is prevented from having a successful chance at life despite educational, emotional or health-related challenges.
I believe that the practice of psychiatry does not actually help patients get better when it occurs without collaboration of the medical home – the eyes and ears of a patient’s medical and psychosocial needs. That’s why I enjoy practicing in a primary-care clinic where I can collaborate with the providers of my patient’s “home base” for healthcare – their pediatricians.
