About
Dr. Gopalkumar Rakesh has expertise in non-invasive brain stimulation. He trained at National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore which is at the forefront of biological psychiatry research in India. Following this, he transitioned to Duke University Medical Center where he completed his psychiatry residency and a neuroimaging fellowship at the VA. He hopes to spearhead TMS research in substance use disorders at University of Kentucky, in addition to combining his passion for neuroscience with clinical psychiatry.
