Michael A. Cooper received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky and his graduate degree from the University of Nebraska. In addition, he completed a fellowship in hepatology sponsored by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases at the University of Kentucky. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He is a veteran of the armed services, having served in the Army National Guard, Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard. He previously served as the Senior Physician Assistant for the Air Force Reserve and the reserve assistant to the associate chief, Air Force Biomedical Sciences Corps. He currently serves as commander of the 123d Medical Group, Kentucky Air National Guard, Louisville, Kentucky.
