I dedicated myself to becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife many years ago after caring for women during birth because I wanted to be a part of their greater journey. To me, women and families should be treated and cared for with the same kindness and respect that I would want for myself or for my own daughters. Pregnancy and birth are monumental life events for a family, and I am an advocate for family-centered care. I am committed to providing care across the lifespan to women in different situations. I have particular interests in guiding women through menopause and providing thoughtful, sensitive care to women in recovery. I believe every woman and family should have access to a midwife and I am an avid advocate for midwifery care not only here at UK, but across our state and nation.
I enjoy being outdoors and traveling, and I love the beach. I consider my greatest achievements to be my three children; Corinne, Allison and Neil. They gave me the confidence to know that I've excelled at the the most important job in the world - motherhood.
