Personal Statement

Early in my life, I knew I wanted to be a nurse and care for people. I became a Neonatal ICU nurse and loved watching the little ones grow and defy odds on a daily basis. We nurses were advocates for these children, as well as their families. During this time, I decided I wanted to be a Nurse Practitioner so I could care for and advocate for my patients along the entire lifespan – from newborn to elderly.

I thoroughly enjoy getting to know and care for my patients. The most rewarding experience as a provider is to help patients and witness their progress as they improve their health, overcome obstacles and reach their goals.

Great medicine treats and cares for the whole person. Proverbs 17:22 says, “A joyful heart is good medicine,” and I truly believe that laughter and love is the greatest medicine. As a Nurse Practitioner, I want to consider the whole person - spiritually, physically and mentally – to help them achieve optimal health and live a full and happy life.

Everyone was great, and Dr Ballard is the best doctor I've seen. Shes quick and to the point for quick visits, but is also willing to listen if you need more time to talk with her about your issues. She is the first doctor I've had that I feel comfortable with and I'm very grateful for her. Thank you to Dr. Ballard and all of the staff!

  I use to see this provider for years a while back then she left that practice. Once I found out where she went to I started seeing her again. She really cares and listens. She knows all of my medical history. She tends to my needs right away and also refers me to specialists if needed. She has great bed side manners.

  Amber Ballard can't be beat. I've not had great service with Workers Comp and spoke with her about my unresolved elbow pain. She was very concerned and jump started the process of moving my care forward. I can't say enough how much I appreciate it because Corvel did not communicate well at all. Didn't answer emails or calls. Never felt I was cared for during that process but Amber did her job and gave me hope I wouldn't suffer forever.

  I was told, once my labs came back-the next step would be imaging. I have called again to get imaging set up and the nurse never mentioned that. Instead scheduled me out 3 weeks for another appt for the same issue in which I will need to schedule imaging then. I don't see the need to wait 3 weeks for an appt, then wait another amount of time for imaging
