Matilda Carol Wright is the UK Healthcare Trauma Program Manager with more than 35 years of progressive nursing leadership. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Her UK Healthcare experience includes Pediatric Trauma Coordinator, Trauma Outreach and Injury Prevention Coordinator, and Trauma Education Coordinator. She is an instructor for the Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), as well as a course coordinator for Rural Trauma Team Development Course (RTTDC) , and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). Prior to joining UK Healthcare, she served in numerous leadership roles at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.
Wright is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association, the Society of Trauma Nurses, and the Pediatric Trauma Society. She is an active committee member of the Pediatric Trauma Society’s Education, Nursing, and Leadership Committees, the Kentucky Trauma Advisory Committee, and an Advisory Board Member of the Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC).
