Jill Guenther earned her Bachelors of Health Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky in 1991. She had previously earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and French from Centre College in 1982. She has worked for UK HealthCare since 1991 primarily in outpatient adult orthopaedics.
She received her Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT) from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission in 2003.
She became an American Physical Therapy Association board-certified orthopaedic clinical specialist (OCS) in 2003. Her extensive orthopaedic continuing education has a heavy focus on the upper quadrant: neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand.
Additionally, she has served as an adjunct clinical faculty member in the UK physical therapy program with participation in the Samaritan Touch pro bono clinic and the Ecuador Shoulder to Shoulder Medical Brigade.
She has been a Clinical Instructor for over 20 years to students from local, regional and international universities.
