I graduated pharmacy school in 2014 and began a career in retail pharmacy. I always had a passion for ambulatory care and working directly with patients to treat their chronic conditions. I was able to join the Specialty Pharmacy team in an on-call capacity in 2016 and began helping in various different clinical capacities including hepatology, pulmonology, and transplant.
I became full time in 2017 working primarily with the transplant clinic to assist with medication management and authorization for all organ services here at UK. I continued to grow my passion with Hepatitis C and the curative treatments that now exist. I was given the opportunity to become full time with the Hepatitis C team in 2018 and primarily work with the Infectious Diseases clinic treating mono- and coinfected Hepatitis C patients.
I chose Hepatitis C because I have a passion for helping patients get through the treatment cure process and working with a diverse patient population. Outside of UK, I enjoy traveling the country visiting national parks, visiting friends, attending concerts, and doing carpentry work building furniture.
