The region’s only board-certified pediatric ear, nose and throat specialists (ENT), also known as otolaryngologists, now offer their expertise and kid-friendly care at UK HealthCare – Turfland. Care from our Kentucky Children’s Hospital team has always been compassionate and family-centered, but our Turfland location makes it even more convenient for your family’s busy lifestyle.

Great for Parents and Kids

When your child has an issue that is causing pain or interfering with quality of life, you want treatment from a team of providers who not only understand issues of the ear, nose and throat, but also have a deep understanding of children and their anatomy. That’s exactly what you’ll find here. Our specialists have training that makes them uniquely capable of treating pediatric health issues — kids are at the center of everything we do and are the only patients we treat.

“We are all fellowship-trained pediatric ENT physicians, so we are trained and equipped to take care of children,” says Kenneth C. Iverson, MD. “Children are our life, and we all have children, too. We want to provide compassionate, personalized and unparalleled care for the children of the Commonwealth like we would our own.”

At our new clinic at UK HealthCare – Turfland, you don’t have to compromise kid-friendly care or expertise: you can have it all. Our family-friendly ENT doctors have a wealth of experience with infants, children and adolescents. They perform more than 2,000 surgeries each year, from tonsillectomies and ear tubes to complex airway reconstruction and cochlear implantation.

Conditions We Treat

While our board-certified pediatric ENT experts are known throughout Kentucky for their ability to diagnose, treat and manage complex health issues, they also address more common, everyday conditions that affect the ear, nose and throat. We offer comprehensive care for all ENT issues, including:

Why Choose UK HealthCare for Pediatric ENT Care?

In addition to residencies in ENT, our specialists have completed an additional year of training in a dedicated pediatric ENT fellowship. During that year, they concentrated on complex ear, nose and throat disorders in infants, children and adolescents, honing skills that allow them to focus solely on kids and provide them with the absolute best care.

Our UK HealthCare – Turfland location offers a convenient option for families seeking medical care. Here, you can see the same ENT specialists you would see on our main hospital campus, but care is more easily accessible. UK HealthCare – Turfland offers plenty of free parking, and our on-site pharmacy makes it easy to pick up prescriptions on your way out the door. And, if your child’s condition requires surgery, it will be performed at the Lexington Surgery Center located next to our building.

Your kids will love it, too. Child-friendly touches abound from the minute you enter our office. Our waiting room features an interactive, animal-themed wall and age-appropriate activity areas, all of which help put your child at ease for their visit.

We are excited to bring the highest level of pediatric ENT care to a more convenient location for our Kentucky families. We look forward to working with families to help children hear better, breathe better, live better.
