Meet the Director
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the UK Transplant Center.
Our team provides advanced, compassionate, patient-centered care for children and adults with end-stage liver, kidney, pancreas, lung and heart disease. Since 1964, we have provided lifesaving solid organ transplants for patients throughout the region — from Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio and beyond.
The transplant team includes surgeons, physicians, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, pharmacists, therapists, psychologists and many other specialists who specialize in transplantation. We partner with you and your caregivers through every phase of the transplant process, providing top-notch care, close to home.
Our experts use the latest technology to care for you, including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), which helps patients waiting for a lung transplant. Our doctors and researchers are also focused on developing new treatments for transplant patients, opening up more avenues care in the future.
