Prospective Nurses

Nursing at UK Hospital and UK Children’s Hospital has been awarded Magnet Status by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. We are the 39th nursing service in the United States and the first in Lexington to receive this recognition. Magnet recognition simply means UK attracts and retains the brightest and best nurses, and our patients and families receive the highest quality nursing care.

The University setting provides an excellent opportunity for our nurses to utilize their expert knowledge and skills in caring for patients through collaboration with experts from all the health care professions and with the aid of state-of-the-art technology.
