Studies show that patients who access health information are more likely to have better health outcomes. Health education can encourage patients to make positive behavioral changes and to work with their physicians to take greater preventative measures. Additionally, educated patients are more inclined to
seek care early, when their conditions are more manageable and more receptive to treatment. In general, educated patients tend to be highly engaged in the healing process.
