    Oncofertility (Fertility Preservation)

Our oncofertility specialist in Oncofertility (Fertility Preservation) provides consultation to pediatric, adolescent and adult cancer and blood disorders patients receiving chemotherapy and/or radiation that will impair fertility. Our specialist works closely with colleagues in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI), the Markey Cancer Center and the pediatric oncology team at Kentucky Children’s Hospital to preserve the fertility and reproductive health of patients of all ages and genders. Consultation prior to initiation of therapy allows implementation of the best fertility preservation options and is recommended. Patients are seen throughout the course of their treatment as options may remain available. Late effects of therapy on hormone function and reproductive health are also addressed.
