Beth B. Coy, APRN, MSN

Biography

I graduated from the University of Kentucky, College of Nursing in 2004 with my masters of science in nursing. I joined the UK Neurology Department in March 2006 and am certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I worked as a registered nurse for 26 years before becoming a nurse practitioner. I have practiced at Kentucky Neuroscience Institute (KNI) and Sanders-Brown Center on Aging since 2012.

Personal statement

I provide compassionate care, looking at the whole person, not just their neurological problem. I try to actively listen to my patients before making careful clinical decisions. I try to work within the patients limitations whether they are financial, educational, physical or emotional; and I give patients extra time if they need it.
