  • Similarity of neurogenic stunned myocardium and takotsubo (stress-induced) cardiomyopathy
  • Congestion as a pivotal factor of cardiorenal syndrome.
  • Connection of atrial fibrillation and heart failure.
  • Trastuzumab-induced cardiomyopathy.

Personal statement

In the inpatient service I see all kinds of heart failure, heart transplant, VAD (ventricular assist device, which is a prosthetic pump) and many kinds of complications. My key philosophy is simple: I will try to assess the individual situation of every patient and see what I can offer. We are able to offer solutions that are often unavailable in a wider network of cardiologists or providers of all different kinds. That's what sets my subspecialty apart from overall general cardiology.
