The pre-admission process includes filling out necessary paperwork and undergoing pre-operative testing as well as pre-operative classes. The classes are beneficial to patient understanding about what to expect during their visit and after they return home. They help ensure patients feel comfortable throughout their care. As a result, patients are able to arrive the day of their surgery feeling prepared and optimistic.
The Medical Center Walk-In Clinic provides expert care for non-life-threatening and non-emergency sports injuries. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. at Medical Center Orthopaedics. Early care should consist of applying the RICE principle: Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation.
