The Fertility Preservation Program at UK HealthCare helps women, men and children of all ages preserve their fertility before getting medical treatment that could affect their ability to have children in the future. For more information about our program or to contact our team, please contact us at fertilitypreservation@uky.edu

  • What is fertility preservation?

Oncofertility, or fertility preservation, is part of the comprehensive care we provide our patients. Your doctor will discuss options for preserving your ability to have children before you receive any treatment. Your options may include:

    • Egg freezing
    • Embryo freezing
    • Ovarian tissue freezing
    • Sperm freezing

We also offer counseling about hormone replacement therapy and sexual health for our adult patients, as well pubertal development counseling for our pediatric patients.
