The average length of stay for most patients is five days and 10 to 14 days for solid organ transplant patients.

Patient conditions include isolated head trauma, intracerebral hemorrhage, spinal cord injuries, anoxic brain injuries, ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke, and diseases of the brain and spinal cord. The Neuroscience Center consists of two units: Neurosurgery and Neurology/Stroke.
The Neurosurgery unit consists of 12 ICU, six progressive-care and 14 acute-care private rooms. The Neurology/Stroke unit consists of 12 ICU and 20 progressive-care private rooms. The average length of stay for patients for both units is four to five days.
