Markey Cancer Center applies for NCI designation

Markey Cancer Center recently submitted its 860-page application for Cancer Center designation, a distinction granted by the National Cancer Institute. If Markey's efforts are successful, the designation will open new opportunities for cancer researchers, provide access to more treatment options for cancer patients and place Markey among an elite group of cancer centers in the U.S.
