The Family Care Center practice has been serving the Lexington community since 1990 and was acquired by UK HealthCare in late summer 2009 as a satellite of the UK Polk-Dalton Clinic.
The clinic is known for excellent care provided by UK HealthCare pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioners. The practice is home to a unique triple-board residency program. Resident physicians spend five years giving continuity care in preparation for board certification in general pediatrics and adult and child psychiatry.

Your First Visit
On your first visit, please arrive 30 minutes before your appointment time to complete registration forms. Please bring all of the medications you are currently taking. For new pediatric patients coming in for a physical, please bring a record of immunizations. A thorough medical history helps us provide you with the best possible treatment.
Payment
The UK Family Care Clinic accepts most insurance plans, including Kentucky Medicaid. When presenting a medical or insurance card, a picture I.D. must accompany it. Payment arrangements can be made for uninsured patients.
Cancellations
If you must cancel your appointment, we ask that you give us 24 hours notice so we can see another patient at that time and arrange another appointment for you.
