Pediatric Endocrinology & Metabolism
When your doctor suspects a problem related to the endocrine system (pancreas, adrenal gland, thyroid, pituitary, ovaries, and testes), a team of specialists (doctors, nurses, and nutrition counselors) from our Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism Center are brought in to diagnose the child and work with parents to treat the condition.

Our team understands that endocrine and metabolism disorders and diseases affect all aspects of a child's life including emotional and physical health. These diseases can also affect the lives of the entire family. That's why we include counselors and social workers in our team of specialists, to help kids and their families deal with every aspect of the disease.
Our outpatient clinics operate five days each week, seeing approximately 2,500 patients each year. Patients in Eastern Kentucky with diabetes mellitus can visit one of our traveling clinics devoted exclusively to the treatment and management of the disease.
We have a traveling team of specialists who travel to clinics throughout the state to evaluate and treat kids with diabetes mellitus.
