Breast cancer risk factors
Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women. It's estimated that 178,480 new cases of invasive breast cancer were diagnosed in the U.S. in 2007.
Experts do not know the exact causes of breast cancer, but research has shown certain factors increase a woman's chances of getting breast cancer. Although some women are at higher risk, all women are at risk for breast cancer.
