The College of Pharmacy, along with the Markey Cancer Center, held a very important "ribbon cutting" on Tuesday. With President Eli Capilouto in attendance, Dr. Mark Evers and Dean Timothy Tracy announced that the University of Kentucky BioPharm Complex, home to the nation's 5th ranked pharmacy school, will open the 4th and 5th floor of the new building.

The first 3 floors opened to students in January of 2010, while the 4th and 5th floors were shelled in until now. The new 4th floor will house College of Pharmacy researchers, while Markey Cancer Center researchers will move into the 5th floor. The new research space is tremendous, as you will see in some of my pictures below.

I am very excited about the progress that Markey Cancer Center and the College of Pharmacy continue to have. Congratulations to both as they continue to enhance the drug development process and the battle against cancer!
