Congratulations Jack Pattie on 35 years with WVLK!

I couldn't tell you how long I have tuned in to Newstalk 590 WVLK to
listen to "The Lexington Morning News with Jack Pattie." Actually I am
mistaken, I have been listening to Jack Pattie for 35 years! On Friday,
August 27th WVLK hosted a "Breakfast with Jack Pattie" at the Red Mile
to celebrate his 35th Anniversary. Until I was invited to this
celebration I hadn't realized just how long I had been tuning in to News
Talk 590 during my drive into Lexington. I did, however, realize that
Jack Pattie pretty much knows everything that is going on not only
in central Kentucky but across the country. From current events to
sports and politics, he keeps us up to date.
As you can see from the pictures, the sun was just coming up as
listeners, friends and family stopped to congratulate Jack. It was cool
that he was broadcasting live during the event! Through all the
handshakes, photos and stories he was still bringing us the latest news.
He was also accompanied by guests on the show including Ralph Hacker,
who we all know is no stranger to the radio waves. A nice touch to the
breakfast was the slide show of pictures on the screens that showed Jack
through the years. They made it seem like he really does have a life
outside of radio!
Jack, congratulations on 35 great years! Thanks for all you do to
keep us informed. It has been a pleasure tuning in to New Talk 590 every
Ralph Hacker and Jack Pattie.

Of course I had to get my picture taken with the News 590 WVLK vehicle.
