When I first saw these foals at the Makenna David Pediatric Emergency Center preview night I didn't realize their meaning. I simply thought they were pieces of art that children would find colorful. However these "Foals of Hope" were generously donated by LexArts and will be auctioned to benefit the Kentucky Children's Hospital (KCH). The three donated foals were designed by Lexington groups including Latitude Artist Community, Kreative Catz and the UK Art Education Department. They are being used to express their vision of hope for the future. What better message for patients and families!

Tonight, Thursday July 8, 6-9pm there will be a collaborative exhibition featuring the foals at Institute 193. They will be on display at Institute 193 from July 8-15. I encourage everyone to stop by to learn more about the project and the auction. See the following Lexington Herald Leader article that highlights this event.
