This year will no doubt be a year that UK HealthCare will not forget. Not only is the new Emergency Room opening in the summer, but it is also the 50th Anniversary for our College of Medicine. Recently the Lexington Herald Leader ran a story highlighting some of the specific events associated the college's anniversary. This article really gives you an idea of just how important this milestone is to the University.

Dr. Jay Perman has a great vision for the UK College of Medicine.  He and his team are working diligently to plan a series of outstanding events to recognize the significance of this milestone.  The celebration of the 50 years milestone affords us the opportunity to highlight the college on the national stage and brings awareness to the school in a variety of ways.

See below for a list of upcoming events to celebrate the College of Medicine and keep checking back for more updates. As the year progresses, I plan to have additional  postings regarding the 50th Anniversary of the College of Medicine and the College of Nursing, so stay tuned
