Our performing arts are organized under the Lucille Caudill Little Performing Arts in HealthCare Program and bring performances by renowned artists and UK School of Music faculty and students to our auditorium. In addition to the auditorium, performers can be found in UK Chandler Hospital's Barnstable Brown Atrium Lobby, the Pavilion H lobby and in Kentucky Clinic during the holidays and on special occasions.
The Performing Arts Program includes ongoing music in the Barnstable Brown Atrium Lobby on Tuesdays at Noon. Local performers, Kentucky Arts Council performing artists, School of Music students and UK HealthCare’s music therapists and music therapy students perform for visitors, patients and staff during lunchtime throughout the year. The series offers a wide variety of genres and performance styles. The desire is to include other art forms in the series as it matures.
For information about performing in the atrium, contact Jason Akhtarekhavari at 859-323-9896.

Teresa Garbulinska Annual Premier Concert Series
As part of the Lucille Caudill Little Performing Arts in HealthCare Program, the Teresa Garbulinska Premier Concert Series was founded with a grant from Dr. Ronald Saykaly and Mrs. Teresa Garbulinska. The series brings an internationally renowned artist to Lexington biannually.
The program is made possible by a challenge grant from the W. Paul and Lucille Caudill Little Foundation, the State of Kentucky Research Challenge trust fund and the sponsors and patrons of UK HealthCare’s Overture to Healing Gala in April 2010.
The initial concert presented a special evening of music on April 17, 2010, to benefit the Lucille Caudill Little Performing Arts in HealthCare Program and the Lexington Philharmonic. Overture to Healing featured internationally acclaimed classical violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg and the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra at the Singletary Center for the Arts. It was the inaugural concert of the Teresa Garbulinska Premiere Concert Series, which will be a feature of the Lucille Caudill Little Performing Arts in HealthCare Program.
The second Teresa Garbulinska concert featured internationally renowned violinist Midori, on October 1, 2011, and was the first performance of this caliber performed in the auditorium in Pavilion A of Chandler Hospital.
In addition, the Saykaly Garbulinska grant supports the Saykaly Garbulinska Performer in Residence Series. This series presents a musician with the philharmonic, but their visit also includes a master class with the UK School of Music and a children’s educational demonstration in the Pavilion A auditorium. Cellist Johannes Moser was the first artist to participate in this series in April 2013.
Guitarist Pablo Sainz Villegas performed in February 2014.
