Personal Statement

I am the pediatric nurse practitioner for pediatric urology at UK HealthCare. I chose the field of pediatric urology because of its complexity and the reward that comes with working with children.

Prior to my role as an APRN, I worked as a registered nurse in the neonatal ICU and pediatric ICU at UK HealthCare. During that time, I gained a vast knowledge of pediatric ailments and complications and learned how important family is when it comes to treating a child. My philosophy as a nurse practitioner motivates me to treat the whole child and not just a symptom.  

Some of my time is also spent with inpatient consults at Kentucky Children's Hospital. We work closely with other pediatric teams for a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and dog. I also enjoy working out, reading and all things UK sports.
