Brittany A. Young, APRN, is a 2015 graduate from the Northern Kentucky University Master of Science in Nursing Program. She is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Ms. Young is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Stroke Association, and American Academy of Neurology. She has worked at the University of Kentucky as a bedside nurse since 2009 and exclusively in neurosciences since 2011. She began working as a Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Neurology in stroke in April 2016. Ms. Young is the lead inpatient APP of the Department of Neurology. 
Ms. Young’s clinical responsibilities include inpatient care of primarily cerebrovascular patients with advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. She works closely with the stroke medical director and stroke coordinator to provide best patient outcomes offered at UK HealthCare as a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
