Gill Heart Institute cardiac services include diagnostic heart testing, heart monitoring and interventional and other treatments utilizing some of the most sophisticated equipment available in the country.

The Linda and Jack Gill Heart Institute building was founded on a generous $5 million donation by the Gill Foundation. The five-story building houses the following:

• Outpatient and non-invasive cardiac procedure clinics
• Cardiac catheterization suites for inpatient and outpatient treatment
• Electrophysiology laboratory
• Administrative and faculty offices

State-of-the-art heart care facility

The Gill Heart Institute provides a central focus for cardiovascular disease care, including outpatient clinics; non-invasive cardiac diagnostics; invasive cardiac techniques such as cardiac catheterization, angioplasty and electrophysiology; cardiothoracic surgery; vascular surgery; a base for physicians providing this care and a special focus on counseling cardiac patients and their families. The clinical programs of the Institute target the high rate of heart disease prevalent in Kentucky, while the research and teaching programs work to advance cardiovascular care throughout the world.
